What would it look like if Santa tried to compete in the modern global economy? For our 2010 Christmas greeting, we decided to find out. The result, Santa’s Annual Report, was an exceedingly jolly Christmas greeting – and a printed piece rich in hilarious juxtapositions.
Annual report standards like letters from the editor, infographics, and performance reports took on an entirely new meaning when combined with elven magic. From jokes about labour disputes to simplified pie charts depicting a 1-day distribution cycle, the whole concept hung together very nicely. Meanwhile, the report was rendered with a hand-crafted, rustic, printing-press kind
of feel, with tons of small details that helped to contrast the modern business references throughout. The effect was pure magic.
